Rec. ITU-T X.660 (1992) | ISO/IEC 9834-1 specifies the hierarchical structure within which objects in the OSI environment are registered. In this structure, the Registration Authority that registers international ASN.1 names is identified as follows: {joint-iso-itu-t(2) registration-procedures(17) asn-1(3)}.
The value registered with the international registration authority can be used in the following ASN.1 value: {joint-iso-itu-t(2) registration-procedures(17) asn-1(3) international-name-value(n)}.
New values added by the subauthority, below the international registration authority, can be concatenated to the above string, such as: {joint-iso-itu-t(2) registration-procedures(17) asn-1(3) international-name-value(n) managed-objects(x)}.
To request registration of an international ASN.1 name, a national registration authority shall submit a written request for registration of an international ASN.1 name on behalf of the applicant. International treaty organizations shall submit the application directly to the Registration Authority. The content of the application form is described in Rec.
