Acknowledgements
The software for the management of this OID repository was developed in The Caml Language for Orange by Renaud Schauber, Julien Barbeau, Sébastien Lenne, Aurélien Jeamet, Marouane Ben Amor, Yann Barateau and Olivier Dubuisson.
The database system is PostgreSQL. The HTML Tidy Library is used to check the fields that describe an OID.
At the beginning the database was populated by Julien Barbeau, Jean-Michel Farin, Jérôme Silvestre and Olivier Dubuisson. Harald Alvestrand's OID repository and oidview.com were merged into this repository with agreement of their webmaster. Daniel Marschall later developed some scripts to automatically extract data from some documents. Daniel also developed a tool to identify broken links to other web sites as well as many other tools which greatly helps improving the accuracy of the OID repository.
